The concept behind an Auto Boutique is similar to a regular boutique. The aim of Auto Traders Auto Boutique is to provide a one-stop location that meets all your automotive needs so that your car can leave looking its best. Auto Traders Auto Boutique is located at 102 Old Hope Road, Kingston 6.

Started in 1988, Auto Traders was originally an extension of another company that specially ordered auto parts. Located then at Cross Roads they specialized in bolt-on accessories for automobiles such as spoilers, body kits, rims and tires. Eventually the move was made into the car audio and auto security arena with full installation capabilities.

The company soon became factory-authorized dealers for the top American car audio brands such as Infinity, JBL, Bazooka, and such. An offshoot of the accessories and installation services provided was the foray into vehicle restoration that eventually branched out into body repairs and auto painting.

Part of the Auto Traders product line was high performance parts.  They started to sell complete high performance engines at that point in time and after pioneering the American style of auto accessories and displaying the Crossroads showroom the company adopted the old American adage ‘Race on Sunday sell on Monday’.

Between the years ’89 and ’91 Auto Traders went racing at Jamaica’s only circuit, Dover. The car nick-named the Dragon was used as a marketing tool for their high performance engine equipment. Backed by major sponsors such as Dragon Stout, Shell and Motor Insurance Adjusters, the endeavor was a successful one.

Like all successful businesses, growth was unavoidable and Auto Traders Auto Boutique in 1993 moved to its present location at 102 Old Hope road. Its present setting can be best described as comfortable. Just out of Kingston’s traffic belt but not out of the way, customers can relax as their cars are being worked on.

Their present place provided extra installation bays as that started to become the bulk of their business. As they are factory-authorized dealers, Auto Traders had to ensure the best representation of the products they’re selling. What they used to do was to farm out the work.
