Citing an undying passion for cars, Ricky Vaz got involved with them at an early age. At 17, he went off to Florida International University (FIU) to pursue a degree in Industrial Technology, but instead of paying his school fees, he opted to buy a damaged car at an auction. The trick, he said, was to ensure that he got it sold quickly in order to go to school, find somewhere to live and buy food. In his four years at college, he went through twenty-six (26) cars and upon his return to Jamaica, he went into the family business of selling ladies undergarments. While this might have been to most men, the perfect opportunity to meet members of the opposite sex, he quickly realized that the automotive industry was what he desired most.

Auto Traders Vision become Reality
Auto Traders Auto Boutique has completed further expansion of their showroom to include interactive displays on security and mobile entertainment products. This was the vision sighted by Managing Director Ricky Vaz who wanted to expand this area to provide the facility to showcase all or most of the products that the company offered. With this increased showroom space, Auto Traders is now able to showcase their mobile security products, mobile entertainment products, and styling and maintenance products.
Ricky Vaz also envisioned Auto Traders being the leader in personalized automotive styling and maintenance services. He expanded the premises of Auto Traders to accommodate 15 covered installation bases and a 3500 sq. feet showroom, featuring the latest in car audio, electronic lighting and truck accessories to achieve this objective.
Mr. Vaz wanted to create a one-stop shop and service centre for all your automotive needs regarding mobile security and mobile entertainment systems. This goal has also been achieved, and thus the phrase, ‘we provide for all your car needs so that your car can leave looking its best.”
